국내외적으로 건강 증진과 삶의 질 향상이 더욱 중요한 과제가 되면서, 이를 위한 과학적 근거와 효과적 실천 전략이 절실히 필요하게 되었습니다. 보건학 논집은 이러한 요구에 부응하기 위하여 자연과학 및 사회과학 전 분야에 걸쳐 학술적 성과를 교류하는 것을 목적으로 합니다. 구체적으로, 역학, 통계학, 생명정보학, 환경 및 산업보건학, 독성학, 유전학, 지역사회영양, 보건간호, 보건경제 및 경영, 정책관리, 보건사회학 및 인구학, 건강증진 및 보건교육 등 다양한 영역의 이론 및 실증적 연구결과를 싣고자 합니다.

아울러 보건분야의 실무 및 전문인력이 자기 활동의 과학적 근거를 분명히 하고 그 결과를 합리적으로 평가하며, 그러한 근거를 기반으로 새로운 전략을 수립할 수 있는 역량을 키울 수 있도록, 보건학 논집이 귀중한 교육의 장으로서 역할을 하기를 바랍니다. 끊임없이 발전하는 보건학과 함께 하는 “보건학 논집”은 현재 한해 네 번의 발행을 목표로 원고를 모집하고 있습니다. 각 분야 전문가 여러분의 많은 참여를 기대합니다

Public health research is becoming more and more important, reflecting the increase of interest for higher quality of life and for health improvement both in domestic and international populations. “The Korean Journal of Public Health (KJPH)” publishes theoretical and experimental results of various research fields related to Public Health studies. Such areas include epidemiology, statistics, bioinformatics, environmental and industrial public health, toxicology, genetics, community nutrition research, nursery of public health, economics and business administration of public health, sociology and demography of public health, health improvement and public health education to meet the needs of scientific rationale and effective implementation strategy. The KJPH also hopes to be the arena of original education where practitioners and public health experts can find solid ground of their activities.

Since 1964, The KJPH has represented the “history of public health studies in Korea” and now is open to international community. The KJPH which evolves along the ever-improving field of public health now awaits submissions of articles from the experts of public health.
